THE SOLILOQUIES’ OF THE TREES

My project focused on promoting how to be eco friendly while putting on a performance in art and theatre. I created everything with the earth in mind using resourced material and limited carbon footprint. My project had guests journey/glimpse at life in an arboretum on a school campus told through the tress themselves. Audience members were guided through by me and brought to hear the story of the tree. Each tree has a pre-recorded monologue with sound effects, a mask to go with it, and a personality. Throughout the experience I would guide the crowd and add facts or a and comments on what is to come next. I created the sound, had my own sound equipment, and set up the show through the arboretum without stage hands.  Guests got get a glimpse at their personalities and with more knowledge about the beautiful living creatures that live in our backyard. I would love to create this again with different language, more commentary, and more elements of nature. If you are interested to work together or want more info, please reach out!
